EKON started as a small family business

1996

Started the country’s first private installation for synthesis of alkyd resins

1998

Started the production of alkyd and emulsion paints, giving priority to export;

2001 – 2002

Started the production of  latex foam cores for mattresses and pillows;

2004

Was created the brand PASTELO. In the coming years EKON became the second biggest exporter of paints from Bulgaria

2006 

New factory for alkyd resins, paints, plasters 

2015 

Started the production of rubberized coir sheets
